Our beloved Theatre Group Natyabhumi Group Theatre, Agartala, Tripura i Produced one of the greatest theatre personalities of the contemporary world Daro FO’s superbly composed play TRUMPETS & RASPBERRIES.
I am grateful to Ed. Emery for providing me permission to translate Dario Fo’s Plays . from the English translation of Ed. Emery. Ed. Emery translated three Fo plays published in the collection which followed his 1997 award of the Nobel Prize in Literature: Misterro Buffo, Accidental Death of an Anarchist, and One Was Nude and One Wore Tails. When I approached him I felt he listened to all my words and (Wow !!) he permitted me to Translate it officially for the first time in Bengali. I tried my level best & now my beloved Natyabhumi Group Theatre is producing the Premier show of it on 12/02/2022. I tried to keep the originality of Dario’s work while translating but edited some parts as Director of the play. I need blessings & good wishes from all on behalf of NBGT.
